restaurant MEAL SUPPORT

I will meet clients at the restaurant of their choice. I may also provide a variety of cuisine options and challenges that we can try throughout the process. Clients will have support ordering honestly from the menu and I will ensure appropriate eating to their physically and mental needs. As a restaurant setting can be highly anxiety provoking for some, I will help clients implement distress tolerance skills and redirection to get through the experience.

HOME MEAL SUPPORT

Preparing and portioning meals were very triggering times during my recovery. It was highly tempting to examine nutrition labels and consequently under portion or eliminate foods. My role is to answer back to the eating disorder as the thoughts arise and enure that we are preparing, portioning and enjoying a meal that is adequately meeting client's needs. Client's may choose the meal  to prepare and I will also provide a variety of fun and challenging recipes to work towards.

Clients also have the option to order in and we will have the delivered meal together at their home.

  • We have the option to go to the supermarket and have support around gather ingredients needed for the meal and other snacks

  • Available everyday via text or email to keep you accountable outside of supported meals
